Description
Exceed Healthcare Salaried Full Time Fellowship Employee
Exceed Healthcare APP Critical Care Fellowship is a 9-month post graduate training program combining a competency-based curriculum with practice-based learning in the critical care setting. The fellowship includes didactic, clinical, simulation, a mentorship program, peer support, and a variety of other strategies to help the APP transition into the critical care provider role.
Two specialties are currently offered in the Fellowship Program: General Medicine ICU and Cardiovascular ICU with an emphasis on CV surgery and VA/VV ECMO management.
Coming Soon: Neuroscience ICU
Fellowship Benefits
Fellows are salaried and full-time employees during the fellowship. All fellows are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and various other employment benefits.
Fellowship Activities
Fellowship activities consist of didactic, simulation, case presentations, journal club, professional development, and various other strategies meant to facilitate a successful transition.
Cohorts
There are two (2) cohorts annually, with one (1) cohort starting in March, and the other cohort starting in August.
Cohort size varies depending on the specialty needs.
Fellowship Schedule
Each cohort starts with a three (3) week Boot Camp that takes place Monday through Friday. Following the Boot Camp, fellows transition into the hospital setting.
Clinical shifts may consist of days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
We highly encourage applying in your last academic semester or post-graduation. Normally, with the interview process, boards, and obtaining the necessary components for the credentialing process plus credentialing, it takes approximately six (6) months post-graduation to complete everything. For those who have graduated and are already licensed when applying to the fellowship, anticipate the credentialing process to take up to four (4) months.
